Action Research Network

Course Description

A four-month blended learning program, aiming to empower 60 male and female teachers with practical action research skills. The program aims to enhance teaching and learning in classrooms, drive innovation in schools, and improve student outcomes.

Preamble/Introductory Text

A pioneering initiative launched by the Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA) in partnership with the Sharjah Education Academy (SEA) to integrate Action Research across all private schools in the Emirate. This program will help build a strong network of research-driven educators across the UAE generally, and Sharjah specifically.

Learning Outcomes (CLOs)

·        Equip teachers with the practical skills to conduct action research.

·        Enable teachers to implement action research projects in their classrooms.

·        Foster innovation and improve student learning outcomes.

Course Implementation

Duration: four months (from February 2026).

Main Themes:

·        Planning, Design, and Training (6 weeks)

·        Action Research Implementation and Mentorship (4-6 weeks)

·        Analysis, Reflection, and Dissemination (4 weeks).
