Remote Learning Reimagined:

Inspire Every Learner

Program Description

Remote Learning Reimagined: Inspire Every Learner is a comprehensive professional development program comprising five interactive online sessions spanning five weeks. The program integrates three core domains — Assessment, Motivation, and Classroom Management — to equip teachers with a coherent, research-informed toolkit for effective distance teaching. The program is grounded in the belief that excellent online teaching requires more than mastery of digital tools: it demands an understanding of how students learn, feel, and engage behind a screen. Each session is designed as a standalone, immediately applicable workshop, while together the five sessions form a progressive and connected professional learning journey. Participants move across the three domains in an intentional sequence: exploring what motivates students and how to design for it, building a rigorous assessment practice that makes learning visible, and finally establishing the virtual classroom structures and management strategies that sustain a productive online environment.

Program Learning Outcomes

Apply evidence-based assessment strategies to design digital assessments aligned to learning outcomes.

Identify and respond to students' motivational needs in distance learning environments.

Design engaging, student-centred online lessons that prevent passive learning and sustain participation.

Select and apply a range of formative assessment strategies and digital tools appropriate for synchronous and asynchronous remote learning.

Use assessment data to make real-time instructional decisions and provide effective digital feedback.

Establish a well-structured virtual classroom with clear rules, routines, and expectations.

Apply active learning and interactive participation strategies to maintain student attention and prevent digital fatigue.

Program Delivery

The program is delivered entirely online through a live distance learning platform (Zoom). It consists of five interactive sessions, each 90 minutes long, for a total of 8 training hours. Sessions are scheduled on Thursdays between April and May 2026, from 4:00 to 5:30 PM. Each session integrates live facilitated discussion, modelling, collaborative breakout activities, peer learning, and reflective tasks. Participants engage directly with digital tools in each session and leave with immediately applicable strategies. Attendance at all sessions is expected to ensure learning continuity across the three interconnected domains.
