Course Description
Session A
Unpacking standard 1.1 of the unified inspection Framework to understand the expectations of how data should be collected, analyzed and presented.
Session B
Unpacking standard 1.2. of the unified inspection framework to understand the expectations of how to measure progress of students against their starting points over time.
Learning Outcomes
Session A
• Participants will understand the process of how to collect, analyze and present attainment data
• Participants will be able to interpret analysed data and make a judgement for elements 1.1.1 and 1.1.2 using quantitative terms
Session B
• Participants will be able to identify elements of effective pedagogy that enables the observer to make judgments about progress in lessons
• Participants will know how to measure progress of different groups of students against their starting points over time
• Participants will understand why it is important to track progress of homegrown and cohorts of students
• Participants will be able to interpret progress data and make informed decisions to plan next steps for school improvement
