Course Description
A blended online course exploring six facets of high performance in schools:
- What is high performance?
- High Performance lesson planning
- Key theories of effective classroom pedagogy
- Active and independent learning techniques
- The four Cs of learning
- Assessment of and for learning
Learning Outcomes
- By the end of the course, participants will:
- Know what high performance looks like in the classroom.
- Understand how the elements of high performance covered during the course interact to support an ethos of high performance
- Be able to apply each of the six elements of an ethos of high performance to their own classroom practice and pedagogy.
Course Delivery:
Three pre-recorded webinars to facilitate 1-hour training workshops at the client's discretion.

Three live 1-hour webinars to be delivered in February between 17:00 and 18:00 UAE time.

Facilitator:
Steve Burnage is a fellow of the chartered college of teaching, a fellow of the royal society of arts; and an international education consultant, inspector and author with over 35 years’ experience of successful teaching and school leadership. Steve is the principal inspector of schools for the British Council and, as a school principal, led his own school from a low baseline to outstanding during his time as principal.
