Learning Outcomes

· Participants will learn about and understand the seven keys required to unlock a cooperative learning classroom. · Participants will explore different cooperative learning structures and how they can be utilized to design engaging learning opportunities. · Participants will learn about the importance of establishing student teams that will support the implementation and successful use of cooperative learning in the classroom. · Participant will study different researched strategies to manage a cooperative learning classroom. · Participants will be able to apply different class building cooperative learning structures so that students feel safe and are able to enjoy their learning. · Participants will learn about the importance of how to utilize cooperative learning that help students develop social skills. |
Course Delivery

The course will be designed using 6 recorded sessions of approx. 1.5 hours each. During these sessions the seven keys of cooperative learning will be unlocked. Focused activities for each face-to-face session will support participants to achieve the learning intentions. 25 Participants from Sharjah schools will be invited to join the 6-video recorded interactive sessions – during this period, the course will be designed and prepared on the SEA platform. It will only then go live as an online self-paced learning course that other teachers can register for. Activities and assessments for each session will be uploaded with the recordings for each session. |
