Course Description

The program teaches educators to create engaging educational content using popular social media platforms. A total of 10 sessions exploring different styles of communication on social media, with an added focus on learning how to stay safe while doing so. Using content creation tools, understanding different content formats and how to leverage these to your advantage for engaging your audience are some of the key objectives of the program.

3. Using YouTube for content creation

• Making YouTube a safe and tolerant space

4. Creating content on Facebook

• Creating and running Facebook groups and events
  
• Learning how to stream on Facebook
  
• Protecting your privacy on Facebook

5. Understanding and using TikTok

• Engaging effectively but safely on Tiktok
  
• Using visual effects creatively to boost content
  
• Protecting your privacy on TikTok

6. Creating content on SnapChat

• Learning best practices for SnapChat content
  
• Using group chat function to find community on SnapChat
  
• Using Snapchat safely and effectively

7. Learning how Twitch works

• Creating an account and hosting a livestream
  
• Building a community on Twitch
  
• Staying safe while accessing livestream platforms

Course Delivery

The program is divided into 10 sessions, all of which will be delivered via Zoom webinar/meeting format. Sessions will run from 12 Dec 2021 – 27 Feb 2022.
