Ms. Shaylyn Carey is the Associate Director for the Middle East Professional Learning Initiative (MEPLI) & International Programming within Professional Education at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. MEPLI is a donor-funded program that supports teacher educators in Jordan, Lebanon, and Palestine to enroll in courses through Professional Education to develop their teaching & leadership skills while building a community of practice. Shaylyn provides strategic oversight to the MEPLI program, which has expanded to offer online courses, virtual workshops, and Arabic language resources to educators across the region. Shaylyn holds a MA in Middle Eastern Languages and Cultures from the University of Texas at Austin, and her BA in International Affairs and Middle East Studies from George Washington University in Washington, DC”.
