Introduction to the Teaching Standards in UAE 

Welcome to Introduction to the Teaching Standards in UAE. This program applies a blended learning approach combining face-to-face sessions, online self-study and independent distance work in individual and group modes. 

Course Description

In this course, teachers will learn about the UAE teaching standards and the UAE vision for the upcoming 50 years in education, with specific expectations about all teachers implementing a first-rate education system. The students will be exposed to the teaching license examination and prepare for the pedagogy exam, followed by the subject's exam as dictated by the Ministry of Education.

Course Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, the learner will have:

• Identified the knowledge and effectively employed skills and competencies required to implement Teacher Standard 1.
• An ability to communicate, understand and a willingness to demonstrate the UAE heritage and cultural values as per government regulations.
• Identified the knowledge and effectively employed skills and competencies required to implement Teacher Standard 2, including learning and development relations to the diversity of learners' characteristics and needs, pedagogical approaches and cultural values, and relevant policies.
• Identified the knowledge and effectively employed skills and competencies required for effective implementation of Teacher Standards 3 and 4, including determining impacts on students' achievements and life and the ability to self-reflect to continuously develop versatile strategy and meet the UAE's strategic directions.
